Join the Refugee Welcome Picnic: Colton needs helpers on Thursday
Give a few hours to the Refugee Welcome Picnic - everyone is welcome and no experience is needed.
🇺🇸 Aurora, Illinois, United States258 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 134 neighbors in Aurora. I help organize it with 6 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Glad we found this place.

keep going. Shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
Take care, Colton. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I hope September is when things finally get easier. God bless.
Stay strong. Great idea, hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Epe so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Aurora.
