Join the Refugee Welcome Picnic: Benjamin needs helpers on Saturday
Our small team in Sydney is running the Refugee Welcome Picnic and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇦🇺 New South Wales, Australia764 views
Every year the Refugee Welcome Picnic brings together 290 neighbors in Sydney. I help organize it with 7 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are four hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
