Join the Neighborhood Winter Coat Drive: Alexander needs helpers on Thursday

We're short of hands for the Neighborhood Winter Coat Drive; can you spare a morning?

Every year the Neighborhood Winter Coat Drive brings together 336 neighbors in Manukau. I help organize it with 8 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • hang in there. Great idea, hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Lagos!

Take care, Alexander. Shared this with my family. After 16 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

          • Sending good thoughts, Alexander. I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Kediri this morning
