Join the Holiday Toy Drive: Asuka needs helpers on Friday
Our small team in Yokohama is running the Holiday Toy Drive and needs volunteers for set-up, serving and clean-up.
🇯🇵 Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan1,304 views
Every year the Holiday Toy Drive brings together 172 neighbors in Yokohama. I help organize it with 7 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for serving food, washing up and welcoming guests. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a fun day for all ages, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 3-hour shift
- format
- In person in Yokohama
- skills
- friendly attitude, willingness to help

Thinking of you and your family, Asuka. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. It's not much but it's yours. All the best.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Abuja.
Sending love, Asuka. Hope this works out for you. Love from Nottingham.
Stay strong. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
hang in there, Asuka. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
Keep going, Asuka. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. It's not much but it's yours. Greetings from Tokyo.
projects like this are what make a place worth living in. After 28 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Good luck, Asuka. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
