Jimena was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June. The oncology team at Macon Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Jimena is 45, worked as a shop owner until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Macon Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,300 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,900 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $460 • Scans and lab work: $630 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,310 Thank you for reading my story.

Hope it all works out, Mercedes. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Marseille!
