Janhavi has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Janhavi can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Janhavi's family will cook lunch for the team. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

    Amazing support system

The support I received was beyond what I expected. Not only did they help with the immediate need, but they also provided guidance for long-term solutions. I'm forever grateful.

Rooting for you, Aishwarya. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 20 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything
