Janet needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
Janet lost two washing machines and a dryer to a long illness and repossession and needs $800 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a laundry service in Nakuru. In July, a long illness and repossession took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $110
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $570
• Working capital for the first month: $120
With deep gratitude,
Janet

Thank you all. We're at 3% now ($20). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward replacing two washing machines and a dryer.

keep going, Janet. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 11 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
