Isaiah's stomach cancer treatment fund
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Newcastle University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In June I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. My oncology team at Newcastle University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 10 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 27, I worked as a farmer until June, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Newcastle University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $7,850 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,750
• Scans and lab work: $1,150
• Transport to Newcastle University Hospital: $410
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $610
• Household costs while unable to work: $930
