In January an inspector told me that my home has a leaking gas line. It's a safety risk for me and my two small children. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $3,150 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed roofer who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $200. The job should take about four hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're a roofer and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Audrey. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.

    • Hope it all works out, Audrey. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best

      • Good luck, Audrey. I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Iloilo City so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Niterói
