Irene can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Irene regain independence: a simple ramp build.
๐บ๐ธ California, United States167 views
Irene has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Irene can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Irene's family will cook lunch for the team.

Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Love from Ikeja.
So sorry you're going through this, Ignacio. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Los Angeles
Thinking of you and your family, Ignacio. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 15 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best!
