Hosting wanted: Gayathri travelling with Devi to Mangaluru for treatment
Looking for a host or low-cost room within 30 minutes of Mangaluru University Hospital.
🇮🇳 Mangaluru, Karnataka, India245 views
My sister Devi has been accepted for treatment at Mangaluru University Hospital in Mangaluru, starting on Friday in August. We live 389 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Devi and me. We can contribute $10 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Devi will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
- effort
- 3–6 weeks
- format
- In person in Mangaluru
- skills
- a spare room near the hospital

Stay strong, Gayathri. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Put this on a community board in Los Angeles this morning. Love from Los Angeles.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Sending love, Gayathri. Get well soon. God bless.

Wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 15 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Bogotá.
Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Grenoble

Best of luck, Gayathri. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Durgapur.
