Hosting wanted: Cristina travelling with Gabriel to Mérida for treatment
A family from a rural district needs lodging in Mérida while a child is treated.
🇲🇽 Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico1,566 views
My father Gabriel has been accepted for treatment at the Mérida Cancer Centre in Mérida, starting on Tuesday in May. We live 354 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 6 weeks. Two of us would stay: Gabriel and me. We can contribute $50 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Gabriel will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.

Sending love, Cristina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Mérida
hope it all works out, Cristina. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
Hang in there. Shared this with my family. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Hamilton.

Thinking of you and your family, Cristina. Looking forward to the next update. After 19 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Tallahassee.

You're not alone, Cristina. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Mérida

Hope it all works out, Cristina. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings
