Hong is applying to university - who can guide us?
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Hong's essays until November.

I'm Hong, 18, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study public health.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

you're not alone, Hong. Study hard! I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Detroit.
rooting for you, Hong. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
Wishing you peace, Hong. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Manukau.
