I'm caring for my father, who's 85. After the death of his spouse Spyridon can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Spyridon desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Spyridon worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $600 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $290 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $210 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $100 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
