I'm caring for my father, who's 78. After the death of his spouse Jan can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jan desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Jan worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.

• Medication and prescriptions: $410
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $440
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $550
