Home care fund for Fernando in Anaheim
Fernando can't afford the care He needs after a stroke last June; we're asking for $5,050.
🇺🇸 Anaheim, California, United States965 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 81. After a stroke last June Fernando can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Fernando desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Fernando worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $5,050 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $3,800
• Medication and prescriptions: $440
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $520
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $290

You're not alone, Ángel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Rome.
