Home care fund for Cristina in Los Angeles
Cristina, 86, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,200 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 86. After worsening Parkinson's disease Cristina can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Cristina desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Cristina worked all of her life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $460
• Medication and prescriptions: $420
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $320
Thank you for reading my story.
Updates from Emilio
We're at 1% thanks to 1 of you. I met with the care agency and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.
Small update. $14 so far, the plan for medication and prescriptions is now scheduled.
Wanted to say thank you properly. 1% funded and I made the first payment toward medication and prescriptions.

wishing you peace, Emilio. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in San Cristóbal de las Casas but we're thinking of you
Sending love, Emilio. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Take care, Emilio. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings!
You're not alone, Emilio. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. God bless.
hang in there, Emilio. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Keep going, Emilio. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
