Rawalpindi
Zubair is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Rawalpindi Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $200. The registrar has said Zubair can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Zubair has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Zubair would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Zubair isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Rawalpindi Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $200 goes: • Final term tuition: $145 • Exam and lab fees: $35 • Textbooks and materials: $20 If you're reading this, thank you. - Noreen
