Help Zainab patch the roof before the next storm
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Shubra?

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Shubra. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $270, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Stay strong. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Ikeja so I could bring a meal. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Zainab. It takes guts to ask. Well done
Rooting for you, Zainab. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Laredo but we're thinking of you. All the best
Hope it all works out, Zainab. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
