I'm a retired bus driver living in Sakai. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,150, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Stay strong, Yuna. Shared it with a few friends. After 26 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.

    • Praying for you, Yuna. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Please keep us posted

      • Thanks for sharing this, Yuna. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
