Help Yolanda patch the roof before the next storm
The roof at Yolanda's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a disabled veteran living in St. Louis. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,100, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Rooting for you, Yolanda. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Kisumu.
You're not alone, Yolanda. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Praying for you, Yolanda. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Blessings
So sorry you're going through this, Yolanda. Hope this works out for you. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Yolanda. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of St. Louis.
Rooting for you. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
