Yewande was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in January. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $830, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since January. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $830 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Yewande struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Yewande won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. post-operative medication comes first ($55) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
