Help Yang patch the roof before the monsoon
The roof at Yang's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in San Diego. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,500, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

hang in there. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of San Diego
keep going, Yang. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Noida.
