Saint Petersburg
Volodymyr is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Saint Petersburg Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,400. The registrar has said Volodymyr can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Volodymyr has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Volodymyr would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Volodymyr isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Saint Petersburg Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,400 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $390 • Final term tuition: $850 • Exam and lab fees: $100 • Textbooks and materials: $60 Thanks for being kind about this. - Elena
