Vishal is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Orlando Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,950.
The registrar has said Vishal can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Vishal has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Vishal would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Vishal isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Orlando Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $3,950 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,650
• Textbooks and materials: $125
• Final term tuition: $1,175
Glad we found this place.

Rooting for you. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Orlando.
