Vilai is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at Pattaya State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Vilai can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Vilai has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Vilai would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Vilai isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Pattaya State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
