Valerio was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in May. The oncology team at the Bergamo Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Valerio is 36, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bergamo Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
