Help Unathi patch the roof before the monsoon
Could you spare a weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Gqeberha?

I'm a school janitor living in Gqeberha. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $740, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Best of luck, Unathi. Looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
rooting for you. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care!
it takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Gqeberha.
wishing you peace, Unathi. I hope things turn around soon.
Hope things get better soon, Unathi. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from San Francisco.
sending love, Unathi. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
