Tong is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a law degree at Sydney Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,150.
The registrar has said Tong can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Tong has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Tong would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Tong isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. textbooks and materials is the biggest at $105. I'll keep the page updated.
