Yan, my father, passed away on 23 September after a sudden heart attack. He was 59 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,050 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 2 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Yan to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $4,050 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,950
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,500
• Transport of the deceased: $310
• Memorial gathering for the family: $290
