Help Theresa patch the roof before winter

The roof at Theresa's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

Takoradi
I'm a widowed grandmother living in Takoradi. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $500, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Thanks for being kind about this.

Stay strong, Theresa. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Please keep us posted. Love from Entebbe.

    • Wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
