The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Southampton is running low just as demand rises; $2,550 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 106 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Southampton market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $380
• Baby formula and diapers: $200
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,970
