Teresa was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April. The oncology team at Austin Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Teresa is 49, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Austin Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $5,000 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $310 • Scans and lab work: $1,950 • Transport to Austin Regional Medical Center: $720 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,020 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Ryan

Updates from Ryan

  1. Quick update: $427 raised so far (9%). I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 8% now ($414). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 1% funded and I made the first payment toward nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team.
