Help Tao patch the roof before the rainy season
Could you spare a weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Los Angeles?

I'm a single mother of three living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,800, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

So sorry you're going through this. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Stay strong, Tao. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.

You're not alone, Tao. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in San Diego this morning.
Sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Cebu City donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
