Help Sebastián patch the roof before the next storm
The roof at Sebastián's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.
🇨🇴 Bogotá, Bogotá D.C., Colombia399 views
I'm a single mother of three living in Bogotá. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $890, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I hope life is good to you.

you're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
