Help Ruby through 12 rounds of treatment for early-stage lung cancer
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Columbus Cancer Centre; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.

Ruby was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at Columbus Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Ruby is 34, worked as a primary school teacher until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Columbus Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $7,450 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000
• Transport to Columbus Cancer Centre: $470
• Scans and lab work: $980

what's already covered and what's the $7,450 for?
