Rosângela was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in August. The surgeon at Campinas Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,150, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $2,500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Campinas Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rosângela struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Rosângela won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
