Roberto is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Madrid Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,500.
The registrar has said Roberto can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Roberto has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Roberto would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Roberto isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Madrid Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
