Help Ratul patch the roof before the monsoon
Ratul, a disabled veteran, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Dhaka.

I'm a disabled veteran living in Dhaka. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $500, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

You're not alone, Ratul. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from London.
Wishing you peace, Ratul. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Lalitpur but we're thinking of you.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Dhaka.
So sorry you're going through this. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Newcastle
Wishing you the best, Ratul. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Dhaka
