Help Rakib patch the roof before winter
Rakib, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in Dhaka.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Dhaka. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $630, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thinking of you and your family. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I'll check back for the next update.
hope it all works out. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon
Keep going, Rakib. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Juazeiro do Norte donated after I showed her your page. Take care
Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Wish I lived closer to Howrah so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Pune.
Hope things get better soon. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
