Help Prakash through 12 rounds of treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Pokhara Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇳🇵 Nepal245 views
Prakash was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at Pokhara Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Prakash is 57, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pokhara Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $830
• Scans and lab work: $110
• Transport to Pokhara Regional Medical Center: $110
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75
• Household costs while unable to work: $125
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
