Pari was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June. The oncology team at the Madurai Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Pari is 32, worked as a bakery worker until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Madurai Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $45
• Transport to the Madurai Oncology Institute: $130
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $975
