Help Paisley patch the roof before the monsoon
Could you spare a weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Raleigh?

I'm a retired bus driver living in Raleigh. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,450, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you, Paisley. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Tlaquepaque.
A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. After 17 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best
you're not alone. Hope you get there. Please keep us posted. God bless
