Olumide was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Badagry University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Olumide is 25, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Badagry University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,700 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,150 • Scans and lab work: $185 • Transport to Badagry University Hospital: $185 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $40 • Household costs while unable to work: $140 Thanks for being kind about this. - Temitope

  • Sending love. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Rockford

    • Take care, Temitope. Hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update.

      • You're not alone, Temitope. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
