Help Nisha patch the roof before the rainy season
The roof at Nisha's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a home-care aide living in Ahmedabad. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $540, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Praying for you, Nisha. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better
Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Thanks for sharing this, Nisha. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Sapporo
Thinking of you, Nisha. I hope things turn around soon.
You're not alone. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Albany but we're thinking of you
