Nihal was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in December. The surgeon at Ankara General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,750 short.

While we wait, Nihal struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Nihal won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
