Nicole was diagnosed with stomach cancer in May. The oncology team at Quezon City Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Nicole is 48, worked as a bus conductor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Quezon City Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $280
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050
• Transport to Quezon City Regional Medical Center: $200
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $170
