Help Mercy pay for a craniotomy at Fort Portal Orthopedic Institute
After a benign brain tumor, Mercy was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Mercy was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in May. The surgeon at Fort Portal Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,450, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my mother has been in and out of Fort Portal Orthopedic Institute since May. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mercy struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Mercy won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $540
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $30
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $460
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong, Barasa. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
Thanks for sharing this, Barasa. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Greetings from Parma.
Get well soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Riverside.
Take care, Barasa. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. We're a small family in Seville but we're thinking of you. Take care
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 17 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope the doctors have good news. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
