Help me pay for palate reconstruction surgery at San Diego University Hospital
After a torn ligament that needs reconstruction, Claudia was cleared for palate reconstruction surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In May I was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction. My surgeon at San Diego University Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,450, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $1,950 short.
Doctors at San Diego University Hospital told me a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,450 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $380
• Travel and lodging for the family: $370
• Physiotherapy sessions: $740
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $460
Thanks for being kind about this.

shared this with my family. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Maringá.
