Help me pay for emergency hernia repair at Pokhara Orthopedic Institute
After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Ganga was cleared for emergency hernia repair, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In January I was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal. My surgeon at Pokhara Orthopedic Institute recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for April. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,000, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $500 short.
Doctors at Pokhara Orthopedic Institute told me a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a delivery rider, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a delivery rider have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $500 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $25
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $30
• Physiotherapy sessions: $55
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $350
• Post-operative medication: $40

Hope it all works out, Ganga. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 17 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
